Ravana, really?

There is a post doing rounds on FB and Twitter where a pregnant mother asks her daughter if she wants a brother like Rama but the daughter says that she wants a brother like Ravana and starts explaining the flaws about Rama and starts praising Ravana. Very well, Rama was human, had his flaws, made mistakes repeatedly and had to finally live alone most of his life because he chose to be a good son and King, instead of a good husband. Coming back to Ravana, even Ramayana says that Ravana was a great and very learned person. Beyond that, beware of brother like Ravana who might want to get all of his family killed just for satisfying his false ego. On top of that Surpanakha was a psychopath, who wanted to kill Rama & Lakshmana because they refused to marry her, and Ravana decided to support her instead of shoving some intelligence in her brains. Nope, you don't want such family anywhere close to you!
Anyways, the epics are morality tales which explained how to behave in certain circumstances in those times, some of the teachings make sense even now, and the epics prove how human even Gods were, once they appeared on earth. Instead of praying for a brother like Ravana or Rama or Krishna, why shouldn't the girl pray for being like Durga or Kali?
